The Rapper/ClothesHorse /PepsiTruckDriver /artistformerlyknownasSeanCombes, Puff Daddy, P Diddy or just PD for "Puffy Douchebag", announced last week he wants to be known as Sean John. He says: "I have always evolved and taken a different name each time. It's nothing unusual where I come from. Right now I want to be Sean John because that's where I am."
The last time he changed his name, he dropped the P from P Diddy because his idiot fans were "confused."
The music mogul admitted that his previous name change left his fans uncertain of how to address him. ‘I felt like the P was getting between me and my fans and now we’re closer,’ the then "Diddy" explained.
His new handle - Sean John - was changed too late to be correct in his first TV movie 'A Raisin In The Sun' which is showing this week at the Sundance Film Festival. He's credited by his real name Sean Combs in the film.
But his rep said today that "Sean John" isn't really like a new change. His representative tells MTV.com, "Recent reports of a name change are totally false, he is still Diddy."
"He is currently in 'Sean John' mode as the upcoming Sean John fashion show is scheduled for February 8th in New York..."
