Lena Headey ("300") will take on the kick-ass lead role of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. The British actress recently told Entertainment Weekly in an interview that she was not a fan of the Ah-nold movies. "Not diehard. At the time it came out I was more into chasing boys. I wasn't really into sci-fi movies, so it terrified me."
When the Spartan Queen was asked how she compares to actress Linda Hamilton, the original Sarah Connor, Lena said, "She's great, but I'm a different actress and this is a new thing. You know, it's an hour-long TV show, so it's very different."
As for the demanding number of stunts on the show, she said she tries to do her own. "If I can. Because it just looks better. We have a lot of fight sequences. And as brilliant as the stunt people are, I love doing the close-up stuff."
I've done a martial art known as 'sitting on my ass'. [Laughs] I boxed for a few years back in London at a place where the owner didn't even look at you, and the suddenly, after six months, he'd go: 'OK, now I'll talk to you.'"
Since Sarah Connor is a mother to warrior John who must lead the human race in the War Against Machines, Lena was asked if she wants a child herself: "I would. But not the savior of mankind. It's too stressful."
Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles debuts January 13 on Fox TV.
