Kelly Osbourne once said that starring in the profanity-soaked MTV reality show "The Osbournes" as the daughter of rocker Ozzy Osbourne tipped her over the edge and sent her "to hell." Well, she's back from hell, has turned her life around, and mum and dad couldn't be prouder.
She said: "You always look for your parents to say, 'Well done, you. You've really grown up.' It's kind of scary because it means I have a lot of responsibility now but it felt really good."
"It really meant a lot to me. It was emotional. We are a very close family. I think everyone seeks that approval from their mother and father," she said. "But then it gave me the fear - they have higher expectations of me now and I can't do anything bad."
Kelly - who shot to fame with her parents, Ozzy and Sharon, and brother Jack in 'The Osbournes' - also insists the whole family has calmed down and enjoy a more relaxed lifestyle since moving house.
She added to The Sun newspaper: "My parents have moved into a new home outside Los Angeles. It's in the mountains and quite remote. It's amazing and it's just what they needed.
"Jack and I are so close. When he was buying a place in Los Angeles I said to him, 'I don't think I can live far from you' so he bought a place a mile from mine. And in London he's just in the next street.
"Things used to be a little crazy and I didn't know what would happen, one can only wish. The greatest gift in the world is happiness and that's what we wanted."
