Eddie Murphy exchanged "I Do" vows with Tracey Edmonds on New Year's Day on a private island off Bora Bora. The mouthpiece for the Shrek star said the couple were married in "an intimate sunset ceremony" on the beach with 25 friends and family members in attendance.
E! Online reported that guests arrived in nearby Tahiti shortly after Christmas. Bora Bora is about 140 miles northwest of Tahiti. R&B singer Johnny Gill served as Murphy's best man and actress Nicole Avant was the maid of honor.
This is the second marriage for both Murphy and Edmonds. She is the former wife of Kenny "Babyface" Edmonds, while Murphy was previously married to Nicole Mitchell who is the mother of five of his kids. They divorced in April 2006. Murphy also has a son with Tamara Moore.
Murphy dated Spice Girl Melanie Brown. He started dating Edmonds while Brown was pregnant, and she gave birth to a daughter, Angel Iris Murphy Brown, on Murphy's birthday last April.
