Rapper Lil' Wayne is currently a guest staying at the Yuma County, Arizona, jail awaiting arraignment after being busted for drugs early Wednesday morning after his tour bus was pulled over and searched by the U.S. border patrol and a canine controlled substance retriever - receiver of the Golden Nose Award - a dope dog!
At a checkpoint in southwestern Arizona, a Border Patrol canine unit gets a whiff, he takes a sniff, he's a dope dog! and alerted federal drug agents to the presence of illegal stuff on the bus.
A search yielded a stash of nearly four ounces of marijuana, just over an ounce of cocaine, 41 grams of Ecstacy and miscellaneous drug paraphernalia. DEA agents then arrested the rapper.
He was then charged with three felony counts - possession of dangerous drugs, possession of narcotics and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Lil Wayne was previously arrested on drugs charges in Atlanta in 2006. And he is also currently facing illegal gun possession charges and is due to appear in court in New York on February 25th.
