Ashlee Simpson's creepy manager dad Joe Simpson is supposedly lining up a TV gig for his daughter where she'll star in a reality dating show. Only trouble is, Ashlee isn't in need of a date - she has Pete Wentz. A source tells Ok! magazine that daddy's plans include ditching the current boyfriend: "He wants Ashlee to break up with Pete."
The former minister-turned-celebrity dad thinks the program will help promote Ashlee's second album, Bittersweet World, which is due for release in March.
The insider adds of the proposed show, "It will put 14 guys in a house and they will compete to date Ashlee."
But the singer would need to end her relationship with Fall Out Boy bassist Wentz first.
