Heath Ledger Found Dead in New York

heathTragic news today as Aussie actor Heath Ledger was found dead this afternoon in Soho, according to the New York City police. At 3:30 pm, a masseuse arrived at an apartment for an appointment with Mr. Ledger, the police said. The masseuse was let in to the home by a housekeeper, who then knocked on the door of the actor’s bedroom. When no one answered, the housekeeper and the masseuse went in and found him unconscious.

Denise Richards and Charlie Sheen Spar Over Her Plans to Pimp the Kids

sheen richardsDenise Richards has plans to include her and Charlie Sheen's two young daughters in a new reality TV show and Charlie is going to court to stop her.

Sources tell Extra that Richards recently landed the deal, which will revolve around her life as a working single mom in Hollywood. Her ex-hubby Sheen has refused to let his girls, Sam, 3, and Lola, 2, take part in Denise's TV gig - and so the two are going to court later this week to fight it out.

Sophia BushActress Sophia Bush is bummed after getting messed up and suffering a crushed ego after injuring her knee while snowboarding. The actress, a newbie to the sport, was at in Whistler earlier this month when she didn't want to look like a wuss and took on a slope way beyond her abilities. She says, "I'm learning to snowboard. I was prepared for the cold with all the layers of clothes on, but the layers didn't help me so much when I ran into the mountain."

Oscars Noms Announced for Films Nobody Has Seen

johnny deppThe Academy Awards nominations were announced this morning as Best Actor nods went to Johnny Depp, Daniel Day-Lewis and perennial Hollywood favorite George Clooney, while Best Actress category will see Cate Blanchett for "Elizabeth" competing against Ellen Page for "Juno".

It's still in doubt whether the stars would cross striking writers' picket lines to attend the ceremony - if the writers' strike is still going on by February 24.
