Heath Ledger Found Dead in New York

Tragic news today as Aussie actor Heath Ledger was found dead this afternoon in Soho, according to the New York City police. At 3:30 pm, a masseuse arrived at an apartment for an appointment with Mr. Ledger, the police said. The masseuse was let in to the home by a housekeeper, who then knocked on the door of the actor’s bedroom. When no one answered, the housekeeper and the masseuse went in and found him unconscious.

Actress Sophia Bush is bummed after getting messed up and suffering a crushed ego after injuring her knee while snowboarding. The actress, a newbie to the sport, was at in Whistler earlier this month when she didn't want to look like a wuss and took on a slope way beyond her abilities. She says, "I'm learning to snowboard. I was prepared for the cold with all the layers of clothes on, but the layers didn't help me so much when I ran into the mountain." 
The Academy Awards nominations were announced this morning as Best Actor nods went to Johnny Depp, Daniel Day-Lewis and perennial Hollywood favorite George Clooney, while Best Actress category will see Cate Blanchett for "Elizabeth" competing against Ellen Page for "Juno".
