Reese Witherspoon is Hollywood’s highest-paid actress, earning $15m-$20m per movie.
The Oscar-winning ‘Walk the Line’ star topped Hollywood Reporter magazine’s annual list, beating Angelina Jolie, Cameron Diaz and Nicole Kidman.
Jolie usually rakes in as much per movie as Witherspoon, but came second on the list after earning $8m for ‘Beowulf’.
Diaz was in third place, averaging $15m for a film, while Kidman takes fourth place asking for between $10m and $15m.
"Traditionally, the top male actors - like Mel Gibson and Tom Cruise - make around $30m per film, with a piece of the film's profits," Hollywood Reporter's Michelle Grabicki says.
"Men traditionally command a higher salary than the women. It's a newer trend, women getting a percentage of the back end."
