Queen Latifah is sending mixed signals to her fans - she has opened a fast food franchise called "Fatburger" in Miami, and just became the spokesperson for the Jenny Craig weight-loss program. With the latter, the full-figured star of 'Hairspray' and 'Chicago' will be promoting "healthy eating and exercise".
Scott Parker, Jenny Craig's Vice President of Marketing, said: "We are thrilled to have Queen Latifah support our mission of improving health by taking her first step toward achieving a more healthful lifestyle."
Earlier this year, Latifah attended the opening of the FatBurger diner in Miami in June and admitted she was excited about the franchise extending across America.
She said: "That was part of my Los Angeles education. On Sundays in California everybody would come out in all these low-riders. FatBurger was, like, the centerpiece for it all."
