Courtney Love told a U.K. magazine that she regrets she recently let her daughter, 15-year-old Frances Bean, go out alone with Sting's daughter when she found out they went to see a film about suicide.
"I wanted to show [Franny] that she could go out in London without a nanny or bodyguard, so they went by themselves. I wanted to get her a cake because it is the first time she has gone anywhere on her own. She came back so disturbed, because I forgot what the movie was about."
The girls saw 'Control', the biopic about Joy Division singer Ian Curtis who committed suicide. Franny's father, Kurt Cobain of Nirvana, committed suicide in 1995.
Courtney says she's proud of Frances: "I just want things to be good for her, but she's a lot like me and a lot like her dad. I think she got the best of both of us, so there's that."
"We get [along] well most of the time but teenagers are hard. Being a single mother is hard."
