Daniel Radcliffe has spent $4 million (£2.1) on a New York City apartment in advance of his Broadway appearance in the play "Equus" which will begin September 2008. The 'Harry Potter' star's luxury new apartment is located on the fifth floor of a 13-story building in the exclusive SoHo district.
Radcliffe plans to rent the property out for $20,000 per month until he moves in.
Designed by architect Jean Nouvel, the two-bedroom property, which boasts floor-to-ceiling windows and multiple bathrooms, is one of the "sexiest new developments" in the area, according to the actor's letting agent Chris Pomeroy.
Radcliffe, who has an estimated fortune of £23 million, will also have access to a 50 ft swimming pool, sauna and steam room and "hotel-like" services when he becomes a resident.
After turning 18 last July and getting his hands on his Harry Potter film fortune, Daniel claimed he didn't "have any plans to buy anything extravagant", adding: "The things I like buying are things that cost about £5 - books, CDs and DVDs."
