The birth mother of Angelina Jolie’s adopted daughter has blasted reports he wants her child back, saying she’s glad her baby has found a home with the actress and boyfriend Brad Pitt.
Zahara Jolie-Pitt was adopted by Angelina in 2005. Reports last week claimed the adoption paperwork was incorrect, as Zahara was not actually an orphan as her mother is still alive.
Not only that but her birth mother, Mentewab Dawit Lebiso, reportedly wanted her baby back.
"I want my daughter to come home to see where she is from," Lebiso was stated to have told In Touch.
"Her grandmother and I both tried very hard to raise her, and I want her to come home to regain her identity."
However Lebiso denies the reports, saying her quotes were misinterpreted by "so-called journalists" who claimed to be working for the actress.
She adds: "I have never disputed the adoption. It was something I never said."
"I have no ill feelings towards [Angelina]."
"I think my daughter is a very fortunate human being to be adopted by a world-famous lady. I wish them all the success they both deserve."
