Tom Cruise has scooped a courage award for his upcoming movie Valkyrie at a German ceremony.
Cruise was given a Bambi award for his role as a Nazi officer in the movie which is about a failed assassination attempt on Hitler.
The actor was praised for tackling a story which had never before been covered by Hollywood.
Eva Longoria also scooped an award at the Bambis, which are Germany’s most prestigious entertainment awards.
"I am totally amazed and blown away every time I get outside of America how popular Desperate Housewives is," Eva said. "For me to be here to accept this award and be in Germany and in an international community, it's an honour for me."
