Lindsay Lohan had almost set a world's record for serving just 84 minutes in jail in relation to her two drunk driving arrests in Beverly Hills and Santa Monica in May and July. The actress checked in to the Lynwood jail in California on Thursday morning and was out by lunchtime The 84-minute stint in the slammer was actually two minutes longer than what Nicole Richie served in August at the same jail. Paris Hilton has also been a guest at Lynwood - but spent 23 days in lockup.
Lohan, who pleaded no contest in August to two DUIs, was photographed, fingerprinted and placed in a holding cell by herself, according to the Los Angeles Times.
She was initially sentenced to serve four days behind bars in August, after pleading guilty to two of the seven misdemeanor charges against her, but a judge cut that in half and ordered her to carry out 10 days of community service instead. She began her community service with the American Red Cross on Monday.
A further day was taken off the jail sentence because of time Lohan has already served during
her arrests. The star was told she had to complete her prison sentence by January.
