KT Tunstall says she isn’t happy about her songs being used on TV talent show American Idol, because she hates the “money-making puppet show".
The Scottish singer’s song Black Horse and the Cherry Tree was sung by Katharine McPhee on the show for the Billboard-theme week.
KT Says: "There's no control given to the people. They are nationally humiliated for being themselves. Horrible."
The singer previously said she allowed Katharine to sing her song because "no one on that show told Katharine McPhee to sing my song because no one f***ing knew it”.
KT’s also said of McPhee’s performance which helped the song climb from number 79 to 23 on the Billboard chart: "My status as a musician in America is pretty much cemented by Katharine McPhee, which is really interesting and funny for me because I've never been polite about how I feel about shows like that."
