Kanye West may marry his fiancée Alexis Phifer by the end of the year, as it’s what his late mother would have wanted.
West decided not to put his wedding plans on hold following his mother’s recent shock death, because he knows she wanted him to settle down with Alexis.
"His mother's sudden death brought into focus just how short life really is. Kanye doesn't want to wait any longer to make Alexis his wife," a friend of the family says.
"He believes that this is what his mom would want him to do.
"Kanye knew how much his mother loved Alexis and how she was looking forward to seeing them married.”
Dr. Donda West died suddenly earlier this month following cosmetic surgery.
