Johnny Depp’s new movie has been postponed because of the Hollywood writers’ strike, Variety magazine has reported.
Production was due to start on Shantaram, which will star Depp as an Australian heroin addict who escapes from prison, in February. But it has been pushed back because scripts were not ready when the strike began.
The strike was sparked by a disagreement over royalty payments for DVD and internet sales and started on November 5.
Numerous other movies and high profile TV shows have been impacted by the strike.
