Hip hop superstar Shawn ‘Jay-Z’ Carter has banned his new American Gangster album from download site iTunes.
Jigga says he wants his fans to hear the whole album, not just individual tracks, which is an ‘imaginary soundtrack’ to Denzel Washington and Russell Crowe’s new movie of the same name.
"As movies are not sold scene by scene, this collection will not be sold as individual singles," Jay-Z says.
He’s not the first artist to do this, Radiohead previously refused to allow their songs to be downloaded individually.
