Model/actress Kelly Brook, the fiancée of Titanic star Billy Zane, has pulled of Strictly Come Dancing following the death of her father from cancer on Monday.
Kelly had vowed to perform on Saturday’s live show (which is the British equivalent of Dancing With The Stars) in memory of her dad, but found rehearsals "too difficult".
"Kelly has been a fantastic part of the programme and will be sorely missed by everyone on the show," a BBC spokesperson said, adding everyone involved with the show "would also like to express their deepest sympathy to Kelly and her family at this difficult time".
Kelly, who turned 28 last week, was one of the favourites to win the show.
The show’s final takes place on 22 December.
