David Beckham has apologised for accidently snubbing one of his biggest fans, a young cancer survivor, after his security guards rushed him past her as she waited to meet him in Sydney, Australia last week.
Becks says he’ll meet 14-year-old Emma Byers, the first person to survive two consecutive bone marrow transplants at Sydney’s Children’s Hospital, “whenever and wherever” she likes.
The soccer superstar says he’ll make it up to her by making Emma and her friends guests of honor at L.A. Galaxy’s sold-out match against Sydney FC.
"I didn't see any children when I arrived at the hotel this morning - I went in the back way," he says.
"But that [snubbing them] is one thing I would never have done."
