'Blackout' pop diva Britney Spears is in trouble again. You'd think that someone who is being closely monitored by child services would take it easy and refrain from public cat and mouse games with paparazzi - but Brit can never get enough publicity.
In the latest incident, she was caught on camera running a red light while talking on her cellphone AND with her sons asleep in the back seat. Then get this, ya'll - she then flips an illegal u-turn - AND did all this with her court-appointed parenting coach sitting in the car next to her!
Apparently, the spacey singer was trying to avoid snappers when she turned left (on a red light and against oncoming traffic) onto Mulholland Drive. TMZ posted video of the incident, and the paps can be heard shouting, "Red light, red light!" to warn her.
The child monitor was photographed ducking in the front seat of the car while Britney did her crazy driving through a major intersection in L.A.
As for reports that she failed a recent drug test, her lawyers are saying that the test was a false positive and a bad reading. Last week, Kevin Federline’s lawyer claimed Britney has missed taking eight out of 14 drugs tests.
Ok! magazine is reporting that a source close to her said: “If she had tested positive, she wouldn’t be with the boys right now. There are no illegal drugs in her system. Someone is making s*** up. This case is sealed and no one has access to the results at all.”
Meanwhile, her album "Blackout" debuted last week at the top of the charts, but second week sales are surprisingly weak. The techno dance CD is currently No. 30 right now on Amazon.com and falling fast off the charts - possibly the result from Britney not doing any promotions, even though her trainwreck of a life is constantly in the news. The album sold nearly 300,000 copies in its first week.
