New court documents in the ongoing Britney Spears versus Kevin Federline child custody battle have revealed intimate financial details of the celebrity couples life. Not only is Britney the breadwinner - scoring $737,000 a month in income - she also racks up huge expenses, north of $175,000 a month. No wonder K-Fed wants custody of the kids! He doesn't want to wander too far away from that gravy train.
But surprisingly, K-Fed earned a whopping $500,000 in 2006 - including $3,300 in royalties for "Popo Zao."
His monthly business and personal expenses included $7,500 for rent, $6,000 for security, $5,000 for "entertainment, gifts and vacation," $2,000 per month for clothes, etc. - leaving him a net profit of $7,436.
But he wasn't living poorly - after that he still got $35,000 from Britney each month: $15,000 for child support and $20,000 for spousal support. That kind of money will continue to come in as long as he has custody of the kids until they turn 18, and will likely increase as Britney's next album is expected to add substantially to her income level.
As for Britney's monthly expenses, according to court documents the singer spends an average of $102,000 each month for entertainment, gifts and vacation; $49,267 for mortgage payments; $16,000 for clothes (but not panties?); and $4,758 for eating out (read: "Taco Bell").
So -- wait. Britney makes $737,000 a MONTH, yet only has to pay $15,000 a month in child support?? That hardly a dent in her income.
