Stunning actress Angie Harmon plays a divorced workaholic on the new 'Women's Murder Club', but in real life she's a happily married workaholic.
Angie Fans have waited for six years since she left 'Law and Order' for her return to a TV gig, a decision she says was difficult: "I did a lot of praying about it and a lot of talking to Jason. I would love to be a stay-at-home mom, but I can't do it. Just because you get married and have children, it doesn't mean that your dreams die off."
Angie stars as hot tomboy and gun-totting homicide detective Lt. Lindsay Boxer in the Friday night hit 'Women's Murder Club' which is based on James Patterson's best-selling mystery novels.
The series focuses on four women - a detective, a medical examiner, a neurotic assistant D.A., and a spunky young crime reporter - who use their expertise, intelligence and close friendship to solve grisly murders.
But it's Angie who's carrying the show. She says she loves to play with guns and do her own stunts: "I'm a tough chick, a very physical girl," admits the 36-year-old Texas native.
Angie has done several movies over the past few years, as well as produced two kids with husband Jason Sehorn, but says she relished the opportunity to get back into a prime time TV drama and put in those 14-hour workdays.
In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, she tells how her two daughters, Finley, 4, and Avery, 2, get to visit the set frequently and how much it means to her: "I am exhausted, but as Jason told me: 'Honey, I've never seen you this tired but I've never seen you this happy.'"
While the ladies on the show dish over dead bodies and hunt a serial killer, it's the chemistry between Angie's unlucky-in-love character Lindsay and ex-hubby and boss Lt. Tom Hogan (played by Rob Estes), that's the most fun of this guilty pleasure.
"You just pull for Lindsay so hard to get it together and tell Tom how she feels," Angie says. "She's such a good egg. We were watching these scenes one night and I was like, "Y'all, do you love Lindsay as much as I do or am I just some weird egomaniac?"
