Troubled bee-hived singer Amy Winehouse was booed off the stage during the opening night of her new British tour. This was after she showed up 50 minutes late, then staggered onto the stage and began ranting about her jailed husband, Blake Fielder-Civil. Following jeers from the crowd, Amy, who was drinking onstage, slurred: “Let me tell you something. First of all, if you're booing, you're a mug for buying a ticket."
“Second, to all those booing, just wait 'til my husband gets out of incarceration. And I mean that.”
The singer dedicated a song to her husband who is in a London jail charged with witness tampering.
She got through four songs before leaving the stage. Observers say the band had to support Winehouse as she almost collapsed in tears.
A fan writes: "I have just had the best night EVAH! I went to see Amy on the first night of her tour in Brum at the NIA Academy."
"She was late to appear as expected then it just got worse for her. She kept on forgetting her words and when she did remember them they were slurred or you couldn't actually hear them as she dropped the mic over 20 times (I gave up counting after 20). So the natural response was to boo her but this kinda upset her. She called us cunts for buying tickets if we were booing her. Then she made an emotional plea to be nice 'as her husband was incarcerated'."
"In the end she gave up and hauled herself and her sorry beehive of the stage."
Many of the fans are demanding their money back following the 24-year-old’s tortured performance at a packed National Indoor Arena.
