Pop group Simply Red is to split after 25 years together, the band’s singer Mick Hucknall has announced.
The group’s Stay album, released in March, would be their last studio album together and the group will split following their tour in two years’ time.
"I've kind of decided that the 25 years is going to be enough," he said.
Hucknall says he wants to concentrate on his solo career and has just finished a solo release.
"I've just recorded an album that is a tribute to Bobby Bland, a blues and R&B artist," he explained.
