Jennifer Lopez is a very expensive artist to keep happy - a fact her record label is just now finding out. Reports are emerging that folks at Epic Records are not happy about J-Lo's poor album sales and the cost of all her perks. They say she doesn't sell enough records to cover promotion expenses: her "Brave" CD only sold 53,000 copies in its first week of release.
A source says her last album cover alone cost $60,000 in hair, makeup, lighting, photography, and touchups.
And then there was the pricey video shoot for her single -$300,000, and her appearance on "Dancing With The Stars" which rang up another $60,000 bill. These are all costs paid for by her record label.
“The woman requires everything short of flying monkeys to get on stage,” the source commented referring to the "Stars" appearance.
