Years ago Angelina Jolie stopped speaking to her famous father actor Jon Voight after he implied she was nuts in a TV interview. But now it looks like she has taken the first steps to forgiving him. Voight, who has publicly apologized and pleaded for a reconciliation saying he wants to meet his four grandkids, was recently seen leaving the same New York hotel she is staying in.
Father and daughter have barely spoken since 2002 when Voight angered Jolie by his public comments that she needed mental counseling.
Voight recently had a rose-bush planting ceremony in a public park in memory of his late ex-wife, Jolie's mother Marcheline Bertrand and the gesture is thought to be an attempt to mend the rift.
And it appears to have worked - on Sunday, a grinning Voight was photographed leaving the Waldorf Astoria Hotel where Jolie, Brad Pitt and their children have made their home.
