Red Hot Chili Peppers lead singer Anthony Kiedis and his girlfriend Heather Christie welcomed a new son into the world last week and named him Everly Bear. He was named after Anthony’s favorite band the Everly Brothers, and "Bear" because, hey, who wouldn't want a lil' baby bear?
People magazine had the details:
"The mama came up with Bear," Kiedis says. "That made sense to me because he's from me and I feel like I'm part of the bear clan, and I think it's nice to have a little bit of earth in your name."
It's the first child for the 44-year-old singer and his 22-year-old girlfriend. Actually, Everly isn't a bad name and it could of been worse. Anthony could have named his kid something like "Lizard King" after the late great bandsman and creature of the earth, Jim Morrison.
Actually, the most astonishing thing about this post is that Anthony Kiedis' favorite band is the EVERLY BROTHERS.
