Britney Spears will avoid hit and run charges, after paying off the other car’s driver, a judge ruled on Thursday.
Superior Court Judge Susan Speer said Spears will still have to face one count of driving without a license, a charge the singer pleaded not guilty to through her lawyer.
The hit and run charge was dismissed after Spears’ lawyer said the singer had paid an undisclosed amount to the woman whose car she hit on August 6 in a Studio City parking lot.
A pre-trial hearing for the driving without a license charge was set for November 26.
