Insiders are saying that the family of Owen Wilson is preventing his former girlfriend Kate Hudson from contacting him after his attempted suicide last week. According to NY Daily News, someone close to the actress says her attempts to send a message to him have been rebuffed by Wilson's family.
“Kate has been trying to get in touch with Owen and is distraught that the family doesn't want her anywhere near him,” says a pal. “She is very frustrated. (Owen’s relatives) don’t think Kate is good for him.”
Looks like the family is blaming Kate for Owen's problems, which are all his own. Last week they said his suicide attempt had nothing to do with their split.
The couple romanced after working together in "You, Me and Dupree" but the relationship ended earlier this summer.For the past month, she's been swapping spit publicly with Dax Shepard.
The 38-year-old actor and writer was released from a clinic over the weekend and is now recuperating at his home in Santa Monica, California.
