It will take Daniel Radcliffe until 2009 before he is finished filming the 7th and final Harry Potter movie, but after that will he be interested in stepping into the shoes of Doctor Who? The current Time Lord, David Tennant, plans to take a year off in 2009 to play Hamlet on stage. London bookies think he won't return, and are offering 3-1 odds that Daniel will take over and become the youngest Dr. Who ever cast.
Peter Davison was 31 during his term as Dr Who but Daniel, 18, could have him beat by ten years if he takes the role in 2 years.
A tv insider told people.com.uk: "Daniel would be fantastic. It is very early days but everyone can imagine him in the role. He would add a new dimension for all the young fans."
Daniel would likely be open to the idea since, unlike his co-star Emma Watson, he has no plans to go to college.
He explained his decision to ew.com: "I think for a lot of people, university is about discovering what they want to do. I sort of know what I want to do. My two main goals now are to act and to keep writing. The whole time I was at university, I would be thinking, God, I could be working on something now."
