More trouble for Britney Spears. The troubled pop tart has been charged with misdemeanour counts of hit and run and driving without a valid license after allegedly crashing her car into another in a parking lot.
Spears could be jailed for up to six months and be given a $1,000 fine for each count, a spokesperson for the city attorney's office said.
A paparazzi video showed Spears driving her car into another vehicle as she tried to turn into a parking space on August 6. After assessing the damage to her own car, she walked away from the scene.
Officials later determined Spears does not have a license, after the owner of the other vehicle filed a police report three days later.
A court date has been set for October 10, although Spears is not required to appear.
