Eddie Murphy to Sue Mel B For Extortion

Mel and EddieEddie Murphy is threatening legal action against his former Spice Girl lover Melanie Brown and demanding she stop talking about him. Murph says she is disseminating "disparaging, negative and defamatory statements" to the media about him, and making "unreasonable extortionate demands" regarding the care of their daughter Angel Iris.

According to Murphy's lawyer Marty Singer, Brown demanded he buy her a $9 million home in Malibu, California and allow her to live in it for the next 18 years.

Brown and Murphy are in a battle over child support payments for their 4-month-old daughter.
