Cameron Diaz reportedly wants to take things slow with her new lover John Mayer because she's scared of getting hurt again.
The pair have been spotted getting close on a number of dates, most recently dining together at New York's Indochine eatery.
“People did double takes,” a source said. “It was cute, like they were just beginning dating.”
While a source close to Cameron added: “She has always said she was a fan of his music.
”They are both so funny and have a dark sense of humour. It is a natural fit.”
But Cam doesn't want to rush things.
"She likes everything about him so far,” the source added. “He’s wicked-smart, socially aware and into politics and the environment. But it’s very new.”
