Amy Winehouse has cancelled her European tour dates after being admitted to hospital after a rumoured drug overdose, although the official story is she’s suffering from “severe exhaustion”.
23-year-old Amy was taken to University College London Hospital yesterday (Wednesday) morning by her husband Blake Fielder-Civil and was later discharged.
Winehouse’s spokesperson says the singer has "been advised to take complete rest".
But ‘The Sun’ newspaper says a drug overdose was to blame. It says Amy had her stomach pumped at the hospital and was given an adrenaline shot.
It quotes a friend of the star as saying: “We’ve been terrified something like this would happen for months. Amy has lost the plot and her partying is out of control. We are praying this is the wake-up call she needs.”
