More Trouble for Madonna's Adoption

Madonna photo Madonna’s adoption of a Malawian child has been hit with even more problems after a social worker assigned to the case was refused permission to travel to the UK.

Malawi official Penstone Kilembe was due to monitor baby David’s progress during two trips to the superstar’s home in London. But the Malawian Government has stopped the visits, which Kilembe says may cause Madonna’s adoption to “crumble”.

Ving Rhames Dogs Maul an Employee to Death

Ving RhamesThe body of caretaker Jacob Adams, 40, has been discovered at a property owned by actor Ving Rhames. Authorities say the man was mauled to death by Rhames' four guard dogs - three massive bull mastiffs and a large English Bulldog. The victim was found lying on the front yard of the Brentwood home with bite marks covering his body.

Matt Damon's 'Bourne Ultimatum' Tops Box Office

Matt Damon in the Bourne Ultimatum photo Matt Damon’s new film ‘The Bourne Ultimatum’ has topped the North American movie chart. It raked in $70.2m (£34.4m) over the weekend, making it the biggest August opening for a movie.

"We're really riding high today," said head of distribution at Universal Pictures, Nikki Rocco, of The Bourne Ultimatum's success.

"The reviews and audiences rated this one the best one yet," she said, adding Matt Damon was "the new James Bond".
