Sean 'Diddy' Combs probably didn't realize how popular his MySpace site could be. When the hip hop mogul advertised for a new personal assistant, he was inundated with video resumes. Combs says, "What have I started? Earlier I put it out there to you the viewers, you the people that made me. A lot of people dream about getting into this industry and being somebody. Everybody needs a chance. Someone gave me a chance, that is what this whole thing is about, it's about empowerment."
"This is not a joke, I'm trying to give a chance to somebody who is out there to be my personal assistant to help me to be the best and maybe I can help them to be the best. That's what this thing is about, helping each other out."
He asked job hopefuls to post three-minute videos of themselves on website YouTube - and over 10,000 people responded in just 4 days. He won't be viewing them all though. The rapper asked fans to help him find the right candidate by asking them to vote for their favorite.
Diddy has already warned candidates that he's not easy to work for. "What better job than to have me scream at you, go crazy, keep you up late hours, have you sleep deprived?"
"You know I'm the best. I like working with the best, so if you the best, holla at your boy."
