Lindsay Lohan turned herself into police to face charges of driving under the influence yesterday afternoon. Lohan was accompanied by her attorney to the Beverly Hills Police Department, where she was fingerprinted and photographed.
The actress was arrested on May 26 after her car mounted a kerb and hit a shrub on Los Angeles’ Sunset Boulevard. Beverly Hills police said Lohan was over the legal drink-driving limit at the time of the crash but declined to reveal how high her blood-alcohol limit was.
Lohan, who also faces a misdemeanor charge of hit and run, was released and is scheduled to appear in court on August 24.
The 21-year-old recently left a rehab clinic after a six-week stay.
