Lindsay Lohan has never taken an acting class, doesn't rehearse and won't study a script before showing up on the set. No wonder directors and co-stars are appalled by her casual approach to her chosen profession.
The Mean Girls star has been criticized by legendary co-stars, including Jane Fonda and William H. Macy for turning up late on set and film producer James G. Robinson criticized Lindsay for being "discourteous, irresponsible and unprofessional" on the set of "Georgia Rule". But none of that bothers the lofty Hohan a bit.
She boasts: "I have never taken an acting class. I don't rehearse. I don't read my lines the night before. Everything is on set."
And Hollywood has taken notice. The wild child was supposed to start shooting "Poor Things" with Shirley MacLaine soon, but the production has been cancelled. The New York Post is reporting that GE and Dell Computers, two companies with product placement in the film, got an e-mail from set designer Fontaine Beauchamp Hebb, who wrote: "Sorry to be the harbinger of bad news, but I just received a call from Jacky Gilardi, the producer, pulling the plug on the ill-fated film. Apparently, Ms. Lohan's antics in Las Vegas over the weekend have scared the bond companies and all of the funding has been pulled . . . I look forward to working together in the future and trust our next project will not be as fraught with difficulty."
A friend of Lindsay's defended her by saying the film would have been cancelled anyway: "She had nothing to do with that movie shutting down. It was a mess to begin with. They randomly fired Channing Tatum for Giovanni Ribisi, and then financing fell through because producers spent money like water. It was only supposed to cost $4 million - Lindsay was being paid nothing for that role."
It's just as well. Lindsay's career will be on hold until she straightens out her legal troubles stemming from her DUI arrest and the cocaine found in her car.
