The wedding was "quite simple, traditional and personal," says Eva Longoria who married basketball star Tony Parker in Paris last week. The couple sold exclusive rights to their "special day" to OK! magazine for $2 million which helped cover expensive for the lavish wedding, but it's been discovered that the two wealthy stars did not buy the gifts given to the 200 guests. They got those free, according to a report by PageSix.
Those invited to the wedding received $700 18 karat gold bracelets from French jeweler Van Cleef & Arpels, along with Bebe bags filled Vitamin Water, L'Oreal products for women and a Cole Haan kit for men.
Page Six reports that the couple paid for their wedding rings and luxurious gifts for each other but, "They didn't purchase anything for their guests," a source said.
The female guests at the wedding, which included Longoria's Desperate Housewives castmates Teri Hatcher, Nicollette Sheridan, Felicity Huffman and Brenda Strong, actress Jessica Alba and singer Sheryl Crow, received the delicate bracelets as a thank you for flying across the Atlantic for the French wedding.
The wedding party included Longoria's actor pal Mario Lopez - who served as an usher - and Parker's French pal, soccer ace Thierry Henry, who was a groomsman.
