A Star Trek film with Spock but Not Captain Kirk? William Shatner doesn't get it either. In fact, reports are that the Boston Legal actor is pissed at the current Star Trek movie producers for not offering him a cameo role in the new film. The actor, who played Captain Kirk in the 60s TV show, is said to be "very upset and has been lobbying for a role" in Star Trek XI after learning Leonard Nimoy has been cast in a minor role.
The New York Daily News reported that Shatner's manager, Larry Thompson, refuted the allegations, saying, "I don't know that to be the case, so I can't comment."
The movie, which will be directed by Lost producer and director J.J. Abrams, is slated to begin shooting later this year
