Did you watch Paris Hilton's interview on CNN's Larry King Live? In an hour long show that appeared scripted, Paris revealed nothing much in response to King's superficial questions. Among other things, the heiress says that the 3-week jail sentence has changed her ways and she is vowing to shed her party-girl image and proclaims she wants to help the world. "I know I can make a difference" she told King.
"I've definitely matured and grown a lot from this experience," she says. "I could be a more responsible role model."
"I read letters, I wrote in my journal, and I would just close my eyes and pretend I was somewhere else," the ex-jailbird heiress said when King asked about her incarceration. Paris mentioned she's been claustrophobic since childhood and the reason she was released after a few days is that she was curled up in a fetal position crying with panic attacks. Which must have been her. best. acting. job. ever.
As for her future plans, Paris says it's charity work not night club openings for her from now on: "I feel like being in the spotlight, I have a platform where I can raise awareness for so many great causes and just do so much with this instead of superficial things like going out," she said. "I want to help raise money for kids and for breast cancer and multiple sclerosis."
And the most ridiculous exchange of the evening - when King asked her twice if she had ever done drugs ("No") - and he asked her about drinking ("I'm not really into it"). She said with a straight face that she doesn't drink much - overlooking the fact that it was her getting busted for a DUI that started all her legal troubles in the first place.
