With former BFF Paris Hilton spending her recent days of her simple life in jail, Nicole Richie must also be worried that she'll experience prison time soon too. Nicole will learn at the end of the month whether she will be following Paris to jail for similar driving felonies - including driving down the highway in the wrong direction and endangering other motorists.
Nicole made an appearance on The Late Show with David Letterman Wednesday night and said that she ready to face the consequences for her DUI.
"I'm just keeping my fingers crossed, of course," she said. "I'm scared also but I'm willing to face whatever consequences come my way and I take responsibility for what I have done."
When asked about Paris's probation violation and Lindsay Lohan's recent arrest, Nicole avoided the questions by saying she can only speak for herself.
"I can't really speak for anyone else but me," said Richie. "I'm 25 and I'm still growing up and I have made some bad choices, just like anyone I'm sure. So now I just have to deal with the consequences. Of course, jail is a not a great consequence, but I brought it on myself."
If Richie is found guilty, she will most likely face a stronger penalty than Paris. She can be sentenced anywhere from 90 days to a year and have her license suspended for a longer period of time.
