Nicole Richie is asking the same question that many others ask about her: Why is she famous?
Other than a few seasons on "The Simple Life" and being the priviledged daughter of singer Lionel Richie, her main connection to fame is her friend Paris Hilton, another socialite who is simply amous for being famous.
But the 25-year-old doesn't understand why she is so well-known. She tells the magazine Nylon, "I don't have a clue why I'm famous. I didn't make myself famous. You're doing it."
"I think people just want to say, `Oh, she doesn't have a job, she doesn't do anything.' They get off on that. But I do have a job, like everyone else."
