Grey's Anatomy star Isaiah Washington, who was fired from the show for calling cast mate TR Knight a f***t, is now saying the producers were in the wrong to write him out of the show. Isaiah believes that TR turned a minor incident into a major controversy in a bid to boost his own salary. "They fired the wrong guy," Isaiah says.
Isaiah got into it with co-star Patrick Dempsey on the set last November when he used the term, but insists it wasn't targeted at TR, who nevertheless took offense. Days later TR publicly announced he was gay after the incident was reported in the press.
Isaiah tells the Houston Chronicle, "They fired the wrong guy. I have to clear my name... My livelihood, my honor, my dignity and my name have been so challenged. So here's the truth... I used the word during a disagreement with Patrick. I apologized for that. We shook hands and went back to work."
Washington admits he was shocked when he was fired. "I did everything I said I would do. I offered to go to counseling, to do a public service announcement. I wanted everyone to know I was remorseful."

Comments
Mr Washington's most recent comments are rediculous. This show casts blacks as the chief of all doctors, head of interns and as the top surgeon (washington himself). Now, when he fired for insulting comments, lying and other dificulties, he plays the race card. Even jackson and Sharpton wouldn't go this low!
