After some nasty on-set fighting this season, Isaiah Washington has been fired from the hit show "Grey's Anatomy" while TR Knight, whom Isaiah called a "f--got", has signed a new contract and will be returning. Isaiah's firing won't affect the story line since in the season's finale his character Burke walked out on fiance Christina and left without saying goodbye, while Knight's character George flunked his surgical exams - but left his future up in the air.
Washington's publicist, Howard Bragman, confirms that Washington was informed Thursday that he would not be returning next season. In a statement, Washington tells Usmagazine.com, "I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore."
Meanwhile, Knight will come back for a reported $125,000 per episode. He will also receive part of the show's profits as will Patrick Dempsey, Ellen Pompeo and Sandra Oh.
