He's in trouble again: Akon was performing at KFEST 2007 when a kid tossed a promotional CD at the stage and almost hit him in the head. Akon got pissed and sent his bodyguards into the crowd to bring the kid on stage so he could he could physically throw him off the stage at the audience. The singer was also in the news last month when he was criticized for for simulating a sex act with a 14-year-old girl while on stage in Trinidad
The concert promoters say it was no big deal. "My guess is it was an attempt at crowd surfing," said Jason Finkelberg, general manager for Pamal Broadcasting in the Hudson Valley, which staged the concert at Dutchess Stadium. "It goes on at these shows all the time. We certainly don't condone it, but it certainly goes on."
Yet, at least one member of the audience disputes that claim of crowd-surfing and wrote on the Poughkeepsie Journal website: "No, he didn't just call him on stage, he had his thugs go out and get him then he picked him up and THREW him, I was in the front and saw the whole thing! THIS WAS NOT CROWD SURFING! STOP THE BULL$HIT K104!"
In the video posted online, Akon is talking to the crowd when he notices a CD fly towards him. He then tells the crowd: “What was that? Who was that over there…point him out. Go get him. Yeah, you made a big mistake…we don’t do that s**t. Tell him to come here. I want him to get on stage. Bring him up here.”
When his bodyguards push the kid onto the stage, Akon then lifts him up (it's a pretty big kid) and tosses him toward some girls in the crowd who move away and the kid lands on the ground pretty hard. The video is at youtube.

I have no sympathy for the idiot that threw the bottle he should have broken something in that fall, if whatever he threw had injured Akon who would have cared....

I seen the video and I've been to many concerts, as an artist you get tired of people insulting you and your not allowed to do anything back. Personally I thought it served the boy well, his parents should've told him how to behave when his out of their sight. Akon is just another artist the media wants to try and destroy. Akon in both situations was only doing what he is paid to do and that is entertain, so why is he being punished for doing his job?
