Green Day will make a cameo appearance in the upcoming The Simpsons movie, its creator has revealed.
Matt Groening says the rock stars appear in a scene with bartender Moe.
“I will publicly acknowledge that Green Day are in the movie,” Groening says.
"They're really good sports and I think we both honour them and Simpson-ize them. You can take that however you want. They're really nice guys. I know that Moe yells out obnoxious stuff to Green Day while they're performing. That I remember."
The movie is slated to hit theatres this summer.
