Busta Rhymes has been arrested in New York on suspicion of drink driving.
The rap star was stopped by police on early Thursday morning because his car windows were too tinted.
Officers then smelt alcohol on Rhymes’ breath and he was taken into custody, Sergeant Mike Wysokowski said.
Busta is also facing two separate assault charges, one for assaulting his driver and the other for assaulting a fan who allegedly spat on his car last year.
The star was initially offered probation and community service for these charges, which would spare him a prison sentence.
But this offer was withdrawn after he was arrested in February for driving on a suspended licence.
The rapper’s spokesperson failed to comment on the drink driving charges.
