Whitney Houston will gain custody of her teenage daughter Bobbi Kristina when her 14-year marriage to Bobby Brown is officially fini on April 24, a judge has ruled.
Houston reportedly wept when the judge made the announcement, while Brown wasn't present at the hearing. Houston told the court earlier that she does not need alimony or child support from Brown.
She also said that their 14-year-old daughter could not rely on him as a father: "He's unreliable. If he says he's going to come, sometimes he does. Usually, he doesn't."
Brown's lawyer has vowed to appeal the decision.
